Ulysses Trek |
| Two days at Riders Edge on Green Lanes
|
 |
As Part of my Ultimate Coast 2 Coast 2 Coast attempt in 2009 I've booked two training days at Riders Edge |
 |
Day 2
Elan Valley Hotel is brilliant, real home cooking and a warm welcome in recently re-furbished accommodation, even has full leisure facilities (I particularly liked the blue slide!):

What a fantastic day with the three highlights being James's puncture, the best view in Wales (misted out!) and the Ford. In total we only did about 100 miles but were on bikes from 9am to 5pm (then I rode home getting in at 11pm!).

Journeys End and the three students can now laugh in the face of such roadside dire warnings!
What a fantastic couple of days, a brilliant introduction to the off road capabilities of a Buell Ulysses and and insight of what the Haul Road has to offer, not confident yet but I do know that my plan to attempt and Ultimate Coast to Coast to Coast in 2009 is do-able. My three fellow students also added to the life experience and all the staff at Riders Edge certainly know how to make you welcome in a safe learning environment.
