Tom and Frank and the joy of Sitting a Spell

On the anniversary of Tom Coopers death I decided to visit his memorial bench in Reeth. The bench had been placed there because Tom used to love to ride down to Reeth of a summers evening and 1st July 2009 I rode that ride with four souls on La Reina Roja, Me and Jen, Tom and Frank. I'd been riding with Tom and Frank on my CVO Glide since their funerals last year, I transfered them to my ill fated 105th Glide and then onto La Reina Roja. Both Tom and Frank have ridden over 25,000 miles with me this year ending in a 3,000 mile Euro Tour over the last couple of weeks. Black ribbons represented them, Tom on my RH Mirror stem and Frank on my Tour Pac Rack, the four of us had a brilliant evening ride to Reeth; one that Tom would have loved easing the Glide through the twists with purpose.

I left Tom and Frank to sit a spell at Tom's bench, Tom on RH side (with his Pin), and Frank on the left. I know Tom won't mind sharing his bench with Frank. So next time you're in Reeth, sit a spell with Tom and Frank, and reflect on two lives lived within the brotherhood that is Harley Davidson.

The ride home with Jen and I alone on La Reina Roja I could feel my riding buddies were gone; but I do know where to find them....
