It was almost by default that I came to buy this 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide. I'd only had my previous Ultra for one week when a sheep on the Timmelsjoch Pass decided to cross the road with his friends and wipe me out in the process! Fortunately my Harley-Davidson insurance had an agreed value so I was soon back in the saddle thanks to Al at Just Harleys, Newcastle upon Tyne. Al got me the first in this colour combination, I ordered it from the catalogue and website, sight unseen but when she arrived in the flesh so to speak the colour was brilliant. There have not bee too many sunny days since I took delivery but I'm assured her colour bursts into life in full daytime sunshine, something I've not seen for a while,

An Ultra has everything but there were a couple of small extras I could add. Firstly I managed to change my riders back rest from previous bikes, also along this route I swapped over the bluetooth for my cell phone via the bikes stereo system. I added the Tour Pack new rack complete with eye level light/brake light. Lastly I added the Tour Pak lights, what I see as a disgrace that in USA these tour pak lights are standard on an Ultra but because of European Rules of homolosiation we cannot have. I blame the Swiss because Harley's European specification bikes have to conform to the strictest country rule which is then applied to all Euro Bikes, i.e. Swiss who have some rule about hi-level brake lights.

She currently at the start of 2009 only has about 500 miles on her, I'm using my FJR whilst the UK roads are salt infested.
